Skoda Citigo 1.0 - 3 cylinder regression - brum

Had a citigo as courtesy car. Good job they told me it was a petrol as I would have sworn it was a very bad diesel. The vibration at idle was like sitting in one of those vibrating belt waist toning machines.

One word - terrible engine, and I'm normally a vag guy.

Ive had two fabias with the old 1.2htp 3 cylinder engines, which in comparison are quiet and silky smooth as they use a counterbalance shaft. The new 1.0L 3 cylinder engines very obviously dont.

The rest of the car? Tat. Reminded a bit me of my first polo in 1976, talk about cheap feel and basic!! The quality of the interior terrible, instruments obviously a cheap china product. And the price of these toy cars are stupidly expensive for what you dont get.

If this is the future of small cars, I'm out.

I have the VW Up which is basically the same car. Mine is quiet when idling, so I think you had a duff sample. Most are okay, by all accounts but there are reports of noisy ones.

Regarding quality, journalists give this car the thumbs up, as do I. Mind you, I suppose it depends on what you want. :)
