Mondeo ST 2.2 tdci - Turboor pipes blown? - ian rossi
Hi.

I have a 2006 Mondeo ST 2.2 tdci and was driving yesterday and all of a sudden heard a Big Bang from the engine, since then I can hear a whistling noise, there's no power/ acceleration and when I do try to press the accelerator pedal it's jerking/ spluttering.

Didn't know if the Turbo has blown or maybe a pipe has split?

Could be either. Or something else, possibly.

If you don't know what you're doing under the bonnet the only way to find out is by getting it into a garage though.
