407 HDI V6 2.7ltr - DEPOLLUTION SYSTEM FAULTY - lazza1952

I was driving along and my car started to loose power and then the depollution failure message came on. I continued to drive the car to see if would fix itself but it didnt. It is now very hard to start, the diesal top end is very noisy and the car wont idle - any suggestions

This is the same Psa engine as fitted to the Jaguar and Range rover models.Very complicated bit of machinery.Unfortunately it is not possible to use a guess-o-meter.Get the system checked properly on a diagnostic machine.

Its a generic warning that can cover literally dozens of situations, from a failing CAT, DPF issues to something as simple as bad fuel or a blocked fuel filter.

Google "Peugeot Planet Map" to find locations of fellow Pug owners with the Lexia diagnostic equipment. Will be cheaper than a garage or dealer.
