Ford Focus - resetting 6000rds cd player after flat battery - Sarah Jane h

I have the code to input to reset after a flat battery, but once i've put in the 4 digits what do I do next. Display telling me 'wait 30 mins' as if I have to try again then. Which button to press after actual code ?

You have to press Button 5 to actually enter the code

Same thing when I put in code then pressed button 5, wait 30 mins. Also little '4' I think to say that i've now tried 4 times. Code given by previous owner but have run serial number through programme and got same code. Tried ford garage, they said same thing 'push button 5'. Any more ideas anyone please ?

Looks like you have the wrong serial number.You will need to pull out the radio and get the number from the white label on top of radio

Thanks for all the help. You were right, the code was wrong. All working now, n.b. took a friendly garage guy, with proper tools, 10 mins to get radio out. Wouldn't bother with coat hanger trick, would've taken all day.
