my brake warning light comes on sometimes for short sometimes for long time, if i have my main beam on the main beam warning light goes off when brake warning light comes on.

any idea please

I'd suggest it's an earthing fault.

How long has it been happening? How long have you had the car? Did it start after some work on the car?

car was ex police car

started about a month ago getting worse had car two months

light comes on after about half hour driving and steady stays on until on all the time after about an hour and half driving

when brake warning light is on, the main beam warning goes off and i lose ALL indicators and hazards

Check connectors to the cabin fuse/relay box in passenger footwell,below glove box.these are also known to suffer with water ingress.

hi thanks for help, had a look rather damp under there so sprayed it with water displacing spray , seems to have done the trick
