Ford Focus 2007 1.6 - Cambelt allowance in price?

Ford Focus 2007 1.6 - Cambelt allowance in price? - argybargy

Hi all

I usually frequent the technical matters forum, but as this is more of a general point, I thought I would put it here.

I have a Ford Focus Zetec 1.6 Climate and I intend to put it up for sale in January, by which time it will have about 60k on the clock.

Given that Haynes advise cambelt replacement at that mileage, should I expect to make an allowance for a new belt in the price? Or should I simply point any queries towards the Ford recommendation of 100k?

Ford recommendation is 100k miles or 10 years,so no need for a belt repacement yet.Focus models will do the distance without any prblems.

Thank you. I've browsed a few motoring forums on this topic, and it's often said that the Ford recommendations err on the generous side; but for the purposes of selling the car you've given me the answer I was hoping for. :0)
