Nissan Micra 2006 K12 EU spec LHD - Heater and Fan Problems on Nissan Micra - Reevo

Hey there all,

The ususal problem! Fan only worked on high setting, then not at all.

I have pulled the resistor card and solder in and it worked great for all of 10 minutes on ALL speeds... the fan blower has been making a really good rattle (it sounds off centre) and I'm thinking it may have to be the purchase of a new fan motor, which I really did not want to go to the expense of.

Any ideas folks? Any tricks?

I'm a Brit in Moscow, trying to fix the girlfriends car, and it's getting to -10 now. Brrr

Any help would be very much apprecaited.

Could be something caught in the fan motor blades.However access to the motor is not easy on these.You will need to remove the top section of the dash as the motor sits to the right of heater box.It is a twist fit so no tools needed to remove it from the heater box.As the car is a lhd model ,it may be easier as there is no steering column in the way.
