I am debating whether it is worth getting the gearbox bearings replaced on our 2004 Jazz which has only covered 24000 miles and is in excellent condition . This is apparently a common failure ,can anyone tell me if this problem is fixed after the bearing are replaced ( ie were the original bearings of poor quality) or is it a design fault which re-occurs?
