Peugeot 406 2.0HDi 90 Rapier 2002 - Timing belt changed now car will not start - ibp53

Timing belt and water pump changed, now car will not start and lights, wipers and windows inoperative. Checked fuses and loose wiring and nothing wrong. Have had the car 2 weeks and now it is useless. Any idea what the problem could be?

Do you get warning lights on the instruments when the key is turned?

Does this car have one of those keypad immobilisers?

At risk of stating the B obvious is the battery OK.

The 406 shares lots of underpinnigs with the Citroen Xantia. Is it susceptible to the problem described in this thread:

Its possible the BSI needs resetting. If the electrics were working before the cambelt was changed there's a good chance its lost its settings when the battery was disconnected.

Follow this link on how to reset it

All the best.
