license and insurance question - bluegirl

Hi, i have been told to come on here as you may be able to help. i have just renewed my provisional as it ran out 2 years ago. if i am getting a quote for car insurance when it asks how long i have had my provisional for do i put from the date i renewed it or that i have had it 12 years? hope that makes sense.

Why not tell them the facts that you have posted on here. They will then make the decision.

You go from the start date of your original provisional licence - going from the renewal date isn't giving accurate information.

Just curious, but why have you had a provisional licence for 12 years?

I had mine for a similar (if not longer) period of time, I got it originally for ID. Only started taking lessons many moons later when work would be made easier for me having a car.

I had a provisonal licence for 5 months - would have been a shorter time but there were long delays before I could get a driving test ....
