Ford Focus - rear door locked - dmac

We have a Y reg focus the rear near side door is locked and wont open with the key and door release, cable link is ok and operates all other doors open, we have removed door panel and have access to inner door, any ideas on how to get door open?

So the door wont open from inside or outside? Do you have a RC key fob?

Sounds like the latch is stuck on deadlock .You will need to break it open to release the mechanism.Not too difficult as it is plastic.

The electric latch/actuator is the part that needs to be broken open.It is the part nearest the rear of the door and is usually made of white plastic.
