Nissan Qashqai N-TEC 4WD (60 plate) - Transmission oil leak - pilgrim717
On moving my car this morning I noticed a small patch of leaked transmission oil. The RAC diagnosed the problem as a leak on the exit pipe of the oil cooler. They transported the vehicle to Nissan main dealer. I phoned to enquire progress and was informed that the vehicle was just out of three year warranty, they had repaired the pipe at the cost of £228 and a new unit would have cost £1000. There is no guarantee on their repair and the problem could reoccur without warning causing expensive damage to the transmission. I was surprised they had repaired it without giving me the choice of buying a new cooler. Is this leak a known problem with the Qashquai and should the cooler be replaced. Thank you
