Honda CR-V II - Which fuse for Rear Parking Sensors - SimplyPurple

Hi There

I have recently purchased a preloved 55 CR-V. We like it very much. The only niggle is the road noise, but then this is our first experience of this type of vehicle.

I had a towbar fitted today, and I asked the gentleman fitter how it would interact with the rear parking sensors. His response was that as they were 'after market fitted' there was no interaction.

On this basis, I would like to know which fuse I'll need to remove when I tow, so that the sensors don't distract me by complaining about the proximity of the trailer! The owners manual doesn't mention parking sensors at all.

Regards

I doubt if there is a fuse solely for the parking sensors.A better idea would be to locate the parking sensor control box and fit a switch into the power supply wire, you could then switch them on/off as required. Some aftermarket sensors are "smart" and can detect when a trailer is attached.

Wouldn't they only be activated when reverse is selected?

If so then I'd have thought there's no need to de-activate them.
