Please hepl, can anybody enlighten me, I picked up a Golf TDi 1.9 2007 last week but on the journey home noticed the heater wasn't working. Took it back the following day for them to put right. They have had the car for 10days now & have finally found that the head gasket has gone. The garage are the process of having the head skimmed & replacing the part.

I'm getting comflicting advice, one person says get your money back , the car will never perform the same & it will be on the same. Others are saying at least you know the work has been done & as long as the work is guaranteed.

What's your advice and has this particular model hasa bad history????
