Volkswagen Sharan - Mk2 Sharan/Alhambra- 2nd row seats removable? - Nutkey

I have been told (but not shown) by a dealer that the 2nd row seats in a 13 reg Sharan are removable, though I'm not clear by what process.

Since the dealers have already demonstrated that they are completely clueless about anything other than the basic features of the car, it would be really useful to know:

If the seats are removable

a) Without airbag problems (e.g. airbag light on) either after removing the seat, or after replacing it

b) If the seats are removable in all mark 2 Sharans, or just after a certain date

c) If the same applies to Alhambras

Hi, yes all the rear seats can be taken out of Mk2 Sharens & Alhambras without worrying about air bags, these only operate on the front seats. Not sure if this changes the newer the car is. The seats are well made and very heavy to lift in and out but is almost van like when this is done. Hope this helps. Sparky100.
