New to posting on any forum let alone a car one.

I've seen posts about engines getting gunked up because of injector seals leaking. How can you tell you have an injector leak and once a leak occurs how long before the engine oil pressure light comes on and the engine needs replacing/rebulding.

Also what provision do Mazda make for such a problem happening and how easy is it to get them to pay for the new engine having followed service intervals correctly at mazda main dealers and the engine having only done 45K miles.

Anyone with experience of this problem and how they got it sorted by Mazda would be much appreciated. I did read one post on here from about 12 months ago where they managed to get Mazda to pay 85% of engine cost.

Also when the engine is fixed how to prevent it happening again if it is possible?
