Astra mk4 convertable 2004 - Engine management light - senniordaggers
I am having to change my whole speedo binicle as I have just brought my Astra back from Cyprus and it shows speeds in Kmp. I have bought a replacement unit but need to know the wireing positions of the plug in on the back. What coloured wires go to which action. Any help or a drawing would help.

There is only one multiplug connector on these.It is locked in place onto the pod by an over centre lock down lever.hth

Thanks for that, the multi plug is already
On the replacement, ( from the scrap yard). All of the wires are still
Connected to the multiplug.
I need to know which wire goes to the engine
Management light.

Are you really sure you must change the speedo I used to fetch Porshes on a regular basis into the UK and never once had to change the speedo although they only read KMs things may have changed but I would double check with the MOT.

The connection to the instrument pod is an automatic coupling,there is no wiring involved.Just remove the multiplug connection from the s/hand unit.The speedo reading is nothing to do with the Mot,it is needed for the IVA.Check here www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/individual-vehicle-app...l
