Tdci mondeo mk3 130 - Tdci not starting - andy 1989
Hi my car stopped starting and Iv noticed the heater light is no longer coming on at all had it on machine these are the codes
U1262
J1850
Could anyone help what I can do to fix this

Unfortunately the codes you have given are not relevant to the engine control system.If there are any codes present for this system,then they start with a P and 4 didgits.What tests have been carried out?

This car was put on a machine at a garage I know them well and machine wasn't cheap

Not right helpful, your garage.. Give you two fault codes and they've got no idea what else to do? According to

www.troublecodes.net/obd2/ucodes/

U1262 in association with J1850 is Communication Bus Fault.

So that seems to suggest that you need a computer specialist more than a car mechanic! Has any wiring been interfered with recently? Any dashboard wiring or instrument bulbs been replaced?

Only thing that has been done is changed egr and new tensioner kit and all headlight bulbs that's it
