Citroen Xsara Picasso - Sudden lack of gears, very stiff - Lisa77

Hi, can anyone out there help please. While driving to work my Piccasos gears suddenly felt stiff, after i pulled over they got worse to the point of no gear change possible at all. No previous problems in the past and clutch is ok.

Cld be the selector in the gearbox has it been grinding on gear changes?

Have you checked that the cables haven't siezed? A commom problem.

Hi, garage have said it is cables, they ve swapped them but are having major problems adjusting them, have you any ideas?

Hi, thanks for your reply, no gear grinding, my husband managed to drive it home. He forced it into gear & drove home in 3rd, dont want to damage anything by forcing grars so its going to the garrage in the morning. Thank you.
