Vauxhall Zafira - Rear brake discs - The Archivist

Vauxhall dealer tells me that Zafira rear brake discs only last for about 23000 miles. Do you have any expirence of this please

He would say that, he sells replacement disks!

When my last Cavalier went for it's first service at 10,000 miles the dealer stated new front pads were needed - when I queried this they said they wouldn't last until the next service (at 20k) - in fact they lasted until the 40k service.

All my Vauxhall disks would last about 1.5 sets of pads - my Astra was still on original rear disks at 100,000 miles - the Zafira is Astra-based.

IMO your dealer is trying to take you for a ride.

Have a look at the discs at 23k to see if they are worn if not do not replace them if they are worn (which I doubt) replace them its quite simple really.

£32 for a set of rear discs and pads and around 45 minutes to fit hardly break the bank.
