peugeot expert - Lost Drive - martinctb

I havve suddenly lost drive on my expert, van starts goes into gear not problem let the clutch out and all you can hear is a knock from the drive shaft drivers side, noise coming from towards engine. New clutch 10000 miles ago any idea i stumped

Could the drive shaft have come out of the final drive - once happened to me on a BL Princess?

There's (at least) one french make that has the driveshafts internally splined - they shear at the differential end.

When i engage a gear you can hear it start to spin internally but the wheel doesnt move

It could be that the centre bearing on the o/s drive shaft has failed, this will allow the shaft to float and come out of the diff, I had it happen on an XM.
