2006 Mazda 6 Diesel 2.0 Sport - No Power, No Revs - enya123101

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 Diesel 2.0 that I had remapped by Extreme Ecu remaps about a year ago and since then I have driven the car about 10k without any issues.

As of a week ago my car stopped picking up revs e.g. with car in neutral you can floor the accelerator pedal but all it does is rev up to 1500 and then drops to idle, then tries again and again. If I try to drive it just stalls.

I took it to a local garage who informed me that my exhaust temperature sensor (BANK 1 SENSOR 1 Mazda Part No. RF7J – 18 -7GOA) was burned, hence the car was cutting the revs.

I had this replaced at a considerable cost and it’s still doing exactly the same. Now the garage thinks that my original remap is corrupted.

My question is:

1. Is this possible?

2. If so is there any way to repair it or does it mean a new ecu?

Please help.

Try another garage, and this time don't tell them you have had a remap, see if they arrive at the same conclusion.

Seen this before. Owner thinks a bloke in a shed with a laptop can improve what a manuacturer spends 1000's of hours developing.

It always amazes me that people are so gullible.

All for a few more bhp and no more mpg.
