I have a 2006 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Titanium X. The car has developed some problems recently and looks to be getting worse.

The car starts and runs okay but has no power when accelerating. It emits a black smoke. The car can only give 29MPG.

The turbo seams to kick in okay but you dont feel that power transmitted to the wheels. There is this noise like a snorr when going over a hump, like the car doesnt want to go. Car picks slowly. It doesnt have limp mode and when idle, it sounds perfect.

When I rev the car, it leaves soot on the ground.

What can this be? Any suggestion will help.
