Hi

I have a problem with misfire in 4th gear I have put new plugs in and changed the coil pack . the car is idling fine and not sounding rough. After I put the coli pack on and cleared the codes I took the car for a drive and when I hit about 50mph the car started jerking and missing the eml came on and went off after i slowed to 30. I have had many suggestions from people such as gear linkage, egr valve, a duff plug , air leak.

I,m no expert but if it was a gear linkage the gears would be difficult to engage but they are not i,m not losing oil or water .

any suggestions.

if the eml light is on then there should be a code to be read. get the code as the first step to finding the problem.

The eml came on then went off and hasn,t come back on since
