Having had a number of top cars this car is without doubt the best I have had, your not in a goldfish bowl that can happen with other marques, it is stunning to drive, the performance is beyond belief and the pleasure that comes from driving it cannot be overstated, a feeling of wellbeing.
I paid £13k for my 2004 S500 with a full Merc main dealer history and 63k miles.
Hardly any different from new.
I don't rush around and too be honest I get more enjoyment cruising, it's like a rocket if you want it to shift, I get around 27mpg.
I marked down practical but then I was not looking for practical.
This car was well over £80k new and months on I still cannot believe what a fantastic purchase it was.

It is a year now since I wrote the report and I still feel exactly the same, not a hint of trouble, in fact I feel even better about the car.

I have recently purchased an S class 320 saloon and I am thrilled with the car. Considering the price these were when new the chance to own one for less than your average run about is just too good to miss. I paid a little over £3000 for mine with under 90K mileage and as new condition. Granted the fuel economy is not good though not impossible on a long run but would you rather have a little hatch back? I think not!

I've owned mercedes for many years but I never expected I would be getting a lancia experience with a mercedes.

Rust was just creeping up on the doors wings and underside.

Other than that mercedes main dealers have become the worst of all main dealers

Avoid.
