Scheme name: Mazda Approved Used Cars (Formerly known as Mazda ZZ+)

Warranty period: 12 months.

Age of cars covered: Up to 100,000 miles.

What does the warranty cover? "Apart from routine service items like tyres, brake pads and discs, as well as any parts requiring repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear or age, your Approved Used Mazda has unlimited mileage protection against breakdown and repair costs."

Can the warranty be extended? Yes. There's an option for you to extend your warranty to 24 or 36 months.

History check? Yes. "A vehicle history check is carried out on every Mazda Approved Used Car to ensure that the car has not been stolen or written-off, and is not subject to any outstanding finance agreement. The check produces an extensive online report and covers information such as; plate history, finance data, stolen data, condition check, registration date and year of manufacture, full vehicle description, number of keepers and dates of change, cross reference between the Vehicle Identification Number and the Vehicle Registration Mark, import/export data, scrapped indicator, high-risk data, previous searches and enquiry audit trail, colour changes and CO2 emissions. A certificate confirming that these checks have been made is supplied with each vehicle."

Every Mazda Approved Used Car's history is also checked against the National Mileage Register Database to search through millions of vehicle records. This provides invaluable information to protect against ‘clocking' and helps determine whether a car has more miles on the clock than it is in fact showing.

Inspection? Yes. "Every Mazda Approved Used Car is prepared to the highest standards using trained Mazda technicians. Each car undergoes a vigorous Mazda multi-point inspection. The inspection covers a service validation, engine, transmission, chassis and electrical checks and a general condition check, after which any mechanical faults are found they are replaced with genuine Mazda Approved Used parts. Your car also receives a full valet prior to delivery."

Breakdown Cover: 12 months, pan-European. Cover also provides a contribution towards costs such as; recovery charges, replacement vehicle hire, overnight hotel expenses, onward travel, continental use and transfer of ownership.

Exchange policy: You can exchange your Approved Used Mazda within 30 days of sale, for another Mazda of the same or higher value, with any additional cost being funded by you. The vehicle must be returned in the same condition you bought it, with no damage or repairs, and it must not have exceeded 1,000 miles since the date of sale.
