Parking charges at motorway services

I have just recieved an £80 parking fine for overnight parking at the Moto Services at M5 Services Exeter. I parked from 02.54am to 06.48am. I am a Courier working out of Southampton, Hampshire. My first delivery in Exeter was to a Data Centre which had to be their by 01.30am for the engineer to collect from myself. At 2am I was at my Second Exeter delivery but they did not open untill 08.30am so I went to the services to use the toilet and get some drink and food. I was not aware that you had to pay at this service area as all other services I go to around the UK are free and I did not see any signs warning that I had to pay. I am a pensioner and the car is classed as Disabled. Can you please help?

Don't pay. If the sign advising you of the charge was not clearly visible then you could not read the terms of the contract so could not agree to it. Use that wording in your refusal to pay.
