Why is my Renault Clio's speedo erratic?
Everything in my 2001 Renault Clio's dashboard works properly apart from my speedometer. Once it gets to 40mph, the speedo hand becomes shaky and it goes down. When I slow down to 20mph it goes up again, then down. What seems to be the problem?

Probably the electronic speed sensor in the final drive. The oil seal can fail.
