Is a blocked DPF causing my 2004 Ford Mondeo to smell of diesel?

I have a 2004 (53 plate) Mondeo Ghia X 130, and recently I have noticed a smell of diesel at the end of a long run on A-roads and motorways when I get to a standstill, which then disappears once I move off again. I'm unsure what would cause this as there is no evidence of any malfunction (engine misfire, loss of fuel etc). I don't do high mileage anymore (down from 20,000 per year to 5000 if I'm lucky) so would the short runs be a cause of this? Does this engine have a DPF and would this be my worry?

Probably a blocked or partially blocked fuel tank vent.
