How will a dealership know whether my Honda's clutch failure is due to user error or not?

Please can you advise me of what steps to take if the dealership tries to charge me for a replacement clutch? I purchased a used Honda 10 weeks ago, they are checking tomorrow if it is due to mechanical or user error. I doubt they will take the blame. If it is user error how can they prove it is down to me and not the previous owner? The car came with 12 months' warranty but user error is obviously not covered.

Clutches are always difficult. It is possible to burn a clutch off in a matter of hours if you set your mind to it, but I would expect the dealer to replace it free of charge (or at the very least make a very substantial contribution) if it failed after 10 weeks, unless they can prove it was user error.
