Have any other owners had problems with their Volkswagen Caddy since the emissions update?

Since taking my 2011 Volkswagen Caddy Maxi 1.6 in for the emissions update I've noticed a marked increase in fuel consumption (down from 48-50+ to 36-38) and poor performance below 2000rpm in third, fourth and fifth gear. Have any other owners had similar issues?

We’ve had a number of troubled reports from Volkswagen car owners, regarding the technical update, but this is only the second van issue we’ve heard of.

Part of the NOx emissions fix involves reprogramming the injector and if they're worn they might not have taken too kindly to this. First things first, I’d take it back to the dealer who carried out the update and see if they can rectify it. If they cannot help then I’d take it up with Volkswagen customer services as this won't be the first emissions update problem they will have heard of. I’ll make a note of your complaint on the Good/Bad section of the Caddy review.
