Should I buy a BMW 840 CI?

I want to buy a BMW 840 which has done 133,000 miles. I'm not sure about the fuel consumption, as some say it does 16mpg. Can you please advise?

See Car-By-Car breakdown entry. 8 Series models like this spend long periods broken down because their owners cannot afford to repair them. I fear this scenario will befall you if you buy it.
