Is Mercedes-Benz 4Matic worth the extra?

I'm thinking of changing my Mercedes C 220 CDI for a newer model. Is 4Matic drive worth the extra?

For security in winter, yes. Make sure you also specify air suspension for a much better ride, and don't go for big wheels with low profile tyres.
