Peugeot 3008 - diesel or hybrid?

I am considering a used (2013 model) Peugeot 3008. I have found two locally: one a 2.0 diesel and the other a diesel hybrid. I quite like the idea of the hybrid, with four-wheel drive, low VED and better economy, but am concerned about the complexity. Can you help me choose? Are hybrids good long-term buys?

The 3008 hybrid is a bit weird because it's a diesel hybrid so the point of a petrol hybrid is lost: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/peugeot/peugeot-30.../ Original non-hybrid: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/peugeot/peugeot-30.../ Car by car entry: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/peugeot/3008-2009/
