Did Ford ever solve the Ka's hill start issues?

Did Ford ever come up with a fix that you are aware of for the hill start issues on the Ford Ka with the Fiat engine?

The car is basically a FIAT, not a Ford, and FIAT did fix it to the extent that I have received no further complaints.
