I want to buy British: Which cars are made in the UK?

After the news that Nissan are to carry on manufacturing the new Qashqai and X-Trail in this country AND with us leaving the European union in the near future, I would like to support the UK industry, by buying a British manufactured car.

I intend to purchase a new vehicle in the first half of 2017 and would invite your views on which company, would put the most of the purchase price, back into the uk economy.

The companies I would be interested in are, Nissan, Mini, Honda and Toyota. this is not a " which model " question but which company supports the uk economy the most.

A lot of MINIs are actually made in Austria, including the most popular MINI worldwide which is the MINI Countryman. World production of Honda's new Civic 5-door is at Swindon, even though other parts of the world get the new Civic saloon made locally. Vauxhall's Ellesmere Port plant makes Astras and Astra Sportwagons, Toyota builds Auris and Avensis in Chesterfield. Nissan builds Qashqais, Jukes, Pulsars and Infiniti QXs at Sunderland. Then, of course, there's Jaguar Land Rover.
