Can I reject a used car over its ownership history?

I have agreed to buy a used (2011 model) Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel from a local dealer. The car was clearly advertised as having 'one former lady keeper' however I have today received the log book today and it indicates two previous owners.

I am not happy that dealer has misled me regarding former keepers but their 'Sales Order Form' states that 'deposits are non-refundable' and I am concerned that unless I go ahead & take possession of the vehicle I will loose the £619.50 I have already paid and also my private registration which is now attached to the Jaguar. Have I the right to reject the car or alternatively what would be a reasonable refund to compensate for the additional previous keeper?

That's correct. 'One former keeper' is one keeper before the keeper in the V5C. He did not mislead you. You have no right to reject the car for this reason.

Wonderful and bespoke feeling interior. Amazingly quiet and refined. More economical 2.2 diesel from 2011. Navigation not fitted as standard on most models.
