How can I improve the ride on my Audi A4?

I've recently bought a 2011 Audi A4. The car is great, however the ride is very uncomfortable. After checking with Audi I found it has sports suspension which explains the firm ride. My choices seem to be either trade in the car which would be expensive or change the suspension to Audi standard SE. Do you have a ballpark figure as to the cost of the replacement?

Might help to change the wheels and tyres, to smaller wheels with deeper profile tyres and run them at the lowest approved pressures.
