What can I do about my 2005 Citroen C3's starting fault?

I initially had trouble with my 2005 Citroen C3 automatic with stop/start not starting, and the garage advised a new battery, which when fitted was OK. Two years later the car started hopping and the dealer advised a new battery. After that was fitted I had problems starting the car. It was checked on diagnostics and all was OK. 20 miles later, it was back to hopping and became very dangerous to drive, so I returned it to the dealer. They put it back on diagnostics and advised problems with the actuator and ECU, but they weren't really sure if this would cure it.

I took it to a independent Citroen specialist after fitting the new ECU and actuator, and all was resolved except that it will not start, as the ignition light will not go out. The car has only done 35,000 miles - surely it is not write-off time. Citroen advised that there was not a common problem and so there would be no recall, which is unbelievable when you look at websites like yours.

Surely if you have taken it to the Citroen specialist, and they have charged you to check for the faults and fitted a new ECU and actuator, then you should pursue then again to completely rectify the problem. If they are not willing, then I suggest that you go direct to Citroen UK and pursue them. Given all that you have had done so far, it isn't possible that we could identify the problems from here.
