Upgrading from Toyota Aygo - what should we get?

My wife has a 2015 Toyota Aygo 1.0 Manual. She likes the car, but finds it sluggish when carrying more than one passenger. Is there another Aygo model with significant more power? Alternatively can you suggest a similar sized car with more power?

Please can you also suggest what the part exchange price would be for her current vehicle with 6500 miles on the clock?

No. Aygos only come with one engine. Its partner cars built on the same production line are the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108 and they are offered with the option of a more powerful 1.2 PureTech engine but only a three year warranty. P/x £5860. Pricing here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/used-prices/Toyota/Aygo/2015/.../

You could also look at Renault Twingo 90 TCe and the more powerful versions of the VW Up, SEAT Mii and Skoda Citigo. Or consider a Vauxhall Viva or a Suzuki Celario.
