Jaguar X-Type blowing fuses

I have a Jaguar X Type. Over the past week it has been blowing fuses. Every time it happens the engine cuts out. A friend thinks it might be the fuel pump. Can you help?

If the fuse is blowing it's to protect the wiring to whatever it feeds current to, so I'd guess the fuel pump has failed. If this is the fuel tank sender pump, do not attempt to replace it yourself or you risk being burned to death in a fuel tank explosion.
