Garage can't fix my car - what are my rights?

My Renault Captur (2014) went in for a service after it failed to start eight weeks ago. The garage stated first of all it was the ECU, then the central locking was faulty, they thereafter blamed the faulty new part. They are now saying it is the software the garage is using to program the ECU.

What are my consumer rights? I feel eight weeks is too long. What's the next step I should take?

Presumably you are being provided with alternative transport while they try to fix this fault under warranty? But if you want to try to reject the car at this very late stage these are your consumer rights: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ Of course you won't get your money back because you have used the car for two years. You will only get 'current market value'.
