Toyota Auris - is the 1.4 diesel engine any good?

How good is the Toyota Auris 1.4 diesel and what do I need to look out for on inspection?

Lot of car for a little engine. The 1.4 D-4D works better in the Yaris, but it is at least chain cam and 2010 or earlier avoids a DPF.
