Power steering fault on Vauxhall Zafira

I own a Vauxhall Zafira (2001 model) and yesterday the power steering stopped working. There is fluid in the bottle and no leaks to speak of. Could it be the motor? If so, is it possible to fix this myself?

Garage job. Don't even attempt this yourself or you could end up in an expensive mess that costs you more than the value of the car.
