My 2004 Volkswagen Sharan doesn't move after starting - what's wrong with it?

I've got a 2004 Volkswagen Sharan TDI diesel, with a Tiptronic gearbox. When I start the engine the car doesn't move. I have to wait approximately 15 minutes and then, when it moves, it lacks power at times. There is also smell of burning. Engine diagnostics have been done with no reported problems.

This is a Jatco 5-speed autobox and the torque converter is probably failing. Get it to a member of www.fedauto.co.uk
