traders responsibility

3 weeks ago I bought a 2011 C Class from an independent trader, the car was advertised as having 18" AMG alloy Wheels.
Because of last weeks snow storms I considered fitting winter tyres which was when I first noticed the wheels were in fact only 17". Dealer won't consider replacement or partial refund saying I should have noticed they were only 17" when I viewed the car & also directing me to the generic statement on their web site which states 'it is not the exact specification for the actual vehicle being offered for sale'
I'm hoping to claim a small refund via the 'Consumers Rights Act 2015' but don't know what sort of value to place on this difference in wheel size.
Any chance you can give me a ball-park figure.

I don't think this is on for two reasons. One is that dealers now run generic descriptions of cars which are not necessarily exact descriptions of the cars on offer and this was stated in the description. And the other is that 17" wheels with deeper profile tyres are a lot more sensible than 18" wheels with lower profile tyres and not only give the car better ride and handling, the tyres last longer and are cheaper to replace.
