Buying a used Audi A3 - petrol or diesel
I am planning to buy an Audi A3 used. I do 12-14000 miles/year mainly motorway. Should i buy a 1.4 TSI petrol or 1.6 TDI diesel. I have seen a deal for a 1.6 TDI diesel 2014 reg, 19000 miles for 14000. In general Audi A3 diesels seem to be cheaper than petrol for the same year models. Is this a result of the emissions scandal? Should I stay away from buying diesel?

A 2014 1.6 TDI will be an EA288 that is a newer engine than those involved in the emissions scandal and actually has very low NOx and CO2 and good economy. But the 1.4 TSI 140 or 150 ACT is a much nicer engine to drive.
