Why won't my Ford Fiesta Mk6 start?

I have a Ford Fiesta Mk6 petrol and it runs and drives great, but every now and then the car will not start. It turns over fine but struggles to start, so I turn the key off and try again and it starts fine the second time. This happens a couple of times a month. Any ideas?

One can only assume that the engine is sometimes getting additional fuel being allowed to run into the cylinders (when you switch off) in which case it's flooded, but when you try again the fuel is reduced which in turn allows the engine to start. This could be caused by a leaking injector.
