Power steering failure on Polo

The power steering failed on my 2013 Polo BlueGT for the first time in December 2014. The dealer changed the pump with integrated control unit and all seemed well. July 2015 the system failed again, but righted itself as the car was being put on the recovery vehicle.
The car has been at the dealer's for three weeks now. They cannot find a fault. Their line now is, "there is no fault with this car, this car is perfect, you will have to take it away." Not unsurprisingly, this does not fill me with confidence. Any thoughts/advice?

This reads like a poor earth contact to the EPAS motor and the jiggling and shocks as it was being loaded onto the transporter reconnected it. Get the dealer to check the earthing.
