Should the dealer put road tax on a Honda CR-V when I buy it?

I'm looking at buying a secondhand Honda CR-V from a Honda dealer. Currently its has no road tax - do they have any obligation to supply the vehicle with valid road tax?

Although there must be tax on the car for you to drive it away, there's no obligation for the dealer to pay for it. That said, most dealers put at least six months on out of goodwill. If you're buying approved used, you may want to check this out, if you haven't already: www.honda.co.uk/cars/used/whybuy/
